Our pest management programs are heavily integrated into all sectors of the food industry, from the grain elevator to the city grocery store. As a result, our commercial service specialists clearly understand the relationship between pest management and food safety and work diligently to help companies in the industry achieve pest free conditions. In support of our dedication to the food and drug industry, all service employees receive training in food safety, organic pest management, GMPs, and a long list of additional services and safety topics. We also employ a full time food safety manager to assist in conducting and developing training programs and procedures. We bring the same level of expertise to our pharmaceutical facilities.
Processes and procedures of the McCloud Services Pest Management Program for Food and Drug Plants are based on, and designed to be in compliance with, the following third-party auditing agencies and/or auditing standards:
McCloud Services personnel are available for participation in third-party agency audits, per client request, with advance notice.
All pest management programs comply with the current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and facility/company specific GMPs. Service personnel are trained, and comply fully with, your specific GMPs prior to initiating service.
A pest management plan specific to the needs and requirements of your facility is developed as a result of McCloud Services’ initial inspection, examination of history, third-party audit agency requirements, and discussions with plant personnel. The McCloud pest management plan is designed to meet all your requirements. Our plan utilizes a process approach to pest management, focusing on identification and elimination of causes of infestations rather than remediation of high risk situations as they occur.
McCloud Services provides you with a complete list of pesticides, our standard Approved Materials List, which is used in your facility. Or, we comply with an existing Approved Materials List, specific to your facility or company. This type of document is often required to meet certain third-party audit agency requirements and provides more information regarding when, where, and how pesticides are applied.
McCloud Services can work with you to develop a Threshold Action Plan. This plan defines specific actions to be taken when predetermined levels of pest activity are exceeded. These actions focus on identification of the cause of the problem, and seek to eliminate the cause, thereby preventing future non-compliance.
McCloud Services offers a variety of programs to help your company maintain a pest free environment, including:
